PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE FOR THE PRINT ENGINE:
* Users should replace certain parts when a control-panel message
alerts them to perform printer maintenance
* When page count approaches 200,000 pages printed, the device alerts
user to use a maintenance kit
* When the page count reaches 200,000, user can no longer clear the
message and you must install the maintenance kit
* To check the number of pages that the device has printed since new
maintenance-kit components were installed, the user may print either
a config page or a supplies-status page
* The device requires periodic maint to maintain optimum performance
NOTE: Separate maintenance procedures are required for the
printer-portion of the device (the print engine) & the ADF
